Biography

Dr. Richard Lazaro is certified by the American Board Of Ophthalmology.  With over thirty years of experience, Dr. Lazaro has had the honor of serving the community of Las Cruces and surrounding areas since 1983.

He and his wife Connie built and operated the first certified freestanding ambulatory surgical center in Las Cruces - performing thousands of Cataract surgeries over the years.

Dr. Lazaro did his undergraduate studies at Occidental College in Pasadena, California.  He later attended the University of California Irvine for his medical degree.  In New Orleans, he did his Internship at both Tulane and Charity Hospital.  Dr. Lazaro did his Residency at LSU and Charity Hospital in New Orleans
